AmazonFresh Expands to Chicago, Dallas

e-Commerce behemoth Amazon.com has expanded its AmazonFresh service to Chicago and Dallas, allowing Amazon Prime loyalty program members to set up grocery delivery to their front doors via the Amazon mobile app.

For $14.99 per month atop a Prime membership, Chicago and Dallas residents can now order a wide range of items, from fruits, vegetables, meat, seafood, baked goods and dairy products to beauty items, baby products, pet supplies and household goods. They also can choose items from popular local shops and restaurants through the Local Market program. Delivery options include same- or next-day delivery in specific time windows, including the choice of attended or unattended delivery.

In addition to Chicago and Dallas, Seattle-based Amazon recently set up shop in northern Virginia, Boston, Baltimore and London. The service also is available in Seattle; New York City; Philadelphia; Stamford, Conn.; Trenton, N.J.; and seven regions across California, including Los Angeles, Riverside, San Diego, San Francisco, Sacramento, San Jose and Stockton, among other locations.
