Longo’s Opts for Symphony GOLD Unified Retail Platform

Canadian grocer Longo's has licensed the GOLD Unified Retail Platform to allow end-to-end retail operations across vendor management, merchandising, sales, supply chain and customer loyalty. Longo's chose GOLD for its comprehensive business capabilities and ability to scale as the grocer grows both its online and brick-and-mortar operations over the next few years.

"The GOLD Unified Retail Platform will enable Longo's to focus our retail operations, highlight our key differentiators with ultra-fresh and ready-made offerings, and significantly improve customer satisfaction," noted Longo’s VP of Transformation Mike Longo. "GOLD also will improve our business efficiency by providing better management of retail enterprise resources and data, reducing operational costs, and maximizing our inventory assets."

"GOLD is the platform for performant and unified retail operations," added Gregg Monastiero, president, United States at Atlanta-based Symphony GOLD, whose customers include 15 of the world's 30 largest retailers. "GOLD will enable Longo's to leverage economies of scale, standardize processes, increase flexibility and improve its overall business efficiency as it continues to grow in the years to come."

Longo's owns and operates 28 full-service grocery stores across the greater Toronto area, as well as www.GroceryGateway.com, the top Canadian online grocery service.
