YOU Technology LLC, a provider of digitally integrated offers, has hit the 4 billion mile-marker in digital coupon downloads from retailers’ loyalty programs that use its platform.
Partnering with more than 80 top grocery, drug and convenience retailers, including Kroger, Sprouts, Shoppers Drug Mart, Shop Rite, Harris Teeter, Shop 'n Save and King Soopers and serving consumers in all 50 states and in Canada, San Francisco-based YOU Technology posted 42 percent growth in digital offer redemption over the past year, driven primarily by advances in shopper personalization.
“Digital offers continue to gain momentum, as evidenced by the phenomenal download rates we are seeing,” said Cheryl Black, CEO of YOU Technology. “In the course of an hour, millions of offers are downloaded through our platform. As more companies realize the benefits of targeting and personalization, the number of downloads has exponentially increased. This underscores a huge opportunity for retailers to optimize offers for consumers in real time and for brands to better understand consumer behavior in order to deliver relevant, timely offers that increase usage and loyalty.”
Digitally integrated offers help brands stay top of mind and build loyalty because they are unique to each shopper, Black said, noting that as shoppers demand personalized engagement, the shift to digital will be key for retailers to stay ahead. Moreover, recent industry-wide research indicates that 50 percent of consumers are more likely to visit a store if they receive a coupon.
