Dierbergs Customers Give $9K for Tornado Relief

Paper, plastic or philanthropy?

The choice of philanthropy by many customers at the 23 St. Louis-area Dierbergs stores resulted in a donation of $9,394 to the American Red Cross and its efforts to aid tornado disaster victims in Joplin, Mo.

Throughout late May and June, Dierbergs customers could add monetary donations directly to their grocery bills, providing a safe, convenient and impactful way to contribute to the Joplin relief efforts. One-hundred percent of these donations will aid the American Red Cross in providing meals, water, shelter, clothing and mental-health counseling.

With roots dating back to 1854, Dierbergs Family Markets employs nearly 4,500 associates in 23 St. Louis-metropolitan area stores.
