Dietz & Watson Goes Head to Head With Boars Head

Premium deli meat and artisan cheese purveyor Dietz & Watson is throwing down the gauntlet to rival Boar’s Head in the form of Deli Challenges to be held at four Manhattan grocery stores. The challenges, scheduled to take place Dec. 2 between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. at two Gristedes and two D’Agostino Supermarkets locations, invite New Yorkers to take part in a free blind taste test that pits the two well-known brands against each other to determine which one comes out on top.

The friendly face-off isn’t just about who has the best deli products, though: For each participant, Dietz & Watson will donate 1 pound of food to the Food Bank For New York City. The Philadelphia-based brand will also sell its New York Brand Beef Franks for $1, with all sales going to support the food bank.

The day after the challenges, Dietz & Watson will deliver the donated money and hams, turkeys, roast beef and cheese to the Bronx-based organization.
