Dress For Success Cleaners Opens First Location Within Bloom

Dress For Success Cleaners (DFS), which operates hundreds of dry-cleaning and laundry locations exclusively in supermarkets nationwide, has opened will open its first in-store dry-cleaning location within a Bloom store in Quinton, Va. The DFS dry-cleaning module was added as part of a major remodel and occupies about 140 square feet at the customer service counter.

The Dec. 10 opening represents DFS' first location within a Food Lion banner.

"At this point, our Quinton, Va. Bloom store is a pilot location; however, we hope there will be many more," DFS president Bruce Stegmaier told Progressive Grocer. "The folks at Bloom have been a real pleasure to work with."

Santa Ana, Calif.-based DFS has close to 300 locations within Albertsons, Dillon's, Giant Eagle, IGA, Kroger, Marsh, Publix, Tops, Vons, and now Bloom stores. The company opened our first location within a Smith's Food & Drug Store, in 1991.

Bloom is a banner of Salisbury, N.C.-based Food Lion LLC, a subsidiary of Brussels-based Delhaize Group, and operates stores in North Carolina, South Carolina, Maryland and Virginia.
