    Eckrich Shows How Bacon Makes it Better

    Morrell expands reach of Bacon Lovers deli line

    A conversation about flavor doesn’t seem quite complete without bacon. On that subject, more retail deli shoppers will be bringing home the bacon with a new line of infused deli meats.

    In February, Eckrich, part of the John Morrell Food Group subsidiary of Smithfield Foods, announced it was expanding distribution of the new line of Bacon Lovers Deli Meats. Made with real bacon, the line includes Bacon Covered Ham, Bacon Ranch Chicken Breast, Bacon Covered Club, Applewood Smoked Turkey Breast with Bacon and Peppered Bacon Covered Roast Beef.

    Supporting the expanded national distribution, Eckrich is rolling out a new promotional campaign with radio, TV, digital, social media and in-store materials, with the tagline “The Best Idea Ever.” The company also developed recipes featuring Bacon Lovers Deli Meats, with dishes like Ranch Chicken Quesadillas and Applewood Smoked Turkey Wraps, among others.
