Just in time for Thanksgiving, Fairway Market is offering its first Glatt kosher catering menu available in three locations: Stamford Conn., Westbury N.Y., and Paramus, N.J. All foods are kosher made fresh in Fairway's kosher kitchens under the supervision of the Kof-K and Rabbi Avraham Marmostein.
The menu includes oven-ready Empire kosher turkey, slow roasted beef brisket, butternut squash bisque, apple cranberry challah stuffing, candied sweet potatoes, roasted seasonal vegetables, wild rice, apple, pumpkin and pecan pie, seasonal fruit platter and chocolate cake. In addition there is an antipasti platter, hummus, eggplant and tomato salad, and a selection of crudites.
"Thanksgiving is all about family, friends and food and we're delighted to be able to provide our customers in Stamford, Paramus and Westbury a full kosher catering menu for the first time so they can spend less time in the kitchen and more time with their family and friends," said Herb Ruetsch, CEO of Fairway Market. "This is an impressive menu with all the traditional holiday foods and some unique offerings as well."
Orders must be placed by noon on Nov. 15 and picked up in store.
In other Thanksgiving news, the New York-based supermarket operator has launched the Fairway Market’s Turkey Ordering website.
Six types of fresh turkey are available including kosher, organic, Heritage breeds, and boneless breast roast. Prices range from $1.99 to $9.99 per pound, and customers will receive reminders for pick-up — from Nov. 19-24 — when their order is ready.
"As the biggest food holiday of the year approaches, Fairway Market wants to be sure everyone has the type and size of turkey they want and our turkey ordering hotline will make sure this happens," said Ruetsch. "We're working to do whatever we can to help make this a delicious Thanksgiving in every way."
Fairway Market offers traditional, organic and specialty foods at 11 locations.
