    Family Dollar Deploys Price Optimization Solution

    The retailer expects the tool to drive growth while maintaining value.

    Extreme value retailer Family Dollar’s has successfully completed the deployment of a price optimization solution to all 6,700 stores in an effort to achieve strong financial performance while still delivering a compelling value and convenience proposition to customers.

    The retailer is using the Everyday Price Optimization solution from Roseville, Calif.-based Revionics. “Before Revionics, our pricing processes were very manual, subjective and tactically-focused,” stated Scott Zucker, VP of information technology for Family Dollar. “The Revionics platform allows us to make fact-based pricing decisions across a wide range of product categories and a diverse store base. We can model various pricing strategies, understand the impact on sales and profit, and act quickly to capture the benefits.”

    Revionics’ solution was developed to deliver predictive pricing, promotion, markdown, and inventory optimization system, the results of which can be viewed in one integrated forecast

    Matthews, N.C.-based Family Dollar operates more than 6,700 stores in 44 states.
