Family Dollar Taps Ex-Delhaize Exec as VP-Internal Audit
MATTHEWS, N.C. -- National discount store chain Family Dollar Stores, Inc. has named James H. Hays, a veteran of the Delhaize Group, to the position of v.p. - internal audit. Hays will report to the audit committee of Family Dollar's board of directors, and Ken Smith, s.v.p. and c.f.o.
Prior to joining Family Dollar, Hays spent 19 years in various roles with Delhaize Group, most recently serving as director of internal audit.
Family Dollar operates more than 6,300 stores in a 44-state area ranging northwest to Idaho, northeast to Maine, southeast to Florida, and southwest to Arizona.
