Fast Delivery a Key for D'Ag's New Online Offering

NEW YORK - It's not quite in a New York Minute, but the new D'Agostino Supermarkets Web site, dagnyc.com, scheduled to go live May 15, will offer an easy-to-navigate online ordering system that the grocer said will enable it to fulfill orders within three hours-and soon, even "emergency" orders within an hour for a "slight additional service fee."

For the fast service, D'Agostino said customers will contact personal Internet shoppers at the store nearest them, who then fulfill the orders. Customers with questions can call that store and speak with the manager.

D'Agostino said it will offer emergency orders within a month of the Web site launch.

The new Web site, which was designed by MyWebGrocer, will also feature nutrition tips and recipes, D'Agostino said.

D'Agostino operates 19 stores in Manhattan and Westchester County in New York.
