VADNAIS HEIGHTS, Minn. - Knowlan's Supermarkets, Inc. here is promoting a special pink-frosted cinnamon roll 4-pack during the month of October, with a dollar from each sale going to support the Minnesota affiliate of the Susan G. Komen for the Cure foundation.
Knowlan's will discount the roll six-pack to $2.99 during the month of October to encourage sales.
"Breast cancer can be detected early, and even prevented, if everyone has enough information," said Lauri Youngquist, president of Festival Foods. "Our partnership with the Susan G. Komen Foundation is one way that Festival Foods can contribute not only to the prevention and early detection of this terrible disease, but hopefully the eventual discovery of a cure."
Festival Foods created the cinnamon roll promotion to contribute specifically to Minnesota breast cancer programs. The special pink-frosted cinnamon roll six-pack will be part of a large number of promotions in October at Festival Foods Twin Cities' locations. Several food brands are participating in programs for Susan G. Komen and other foundations to promote awareness and encourage fundraising for breast cancer initiatives.
Knowlan's Super Markets, owned by sisters Marie Aarthun, c.e.o., and Lauri Youngquist, president and c.o.o., operate seven Festival Foods stores and two namesake banner markets in the Twin Cities.
