    Finlandia Offers Grilling Advice for Deli Cheese

    Cheesemaker, chef suggest new pairings for summer eating

    It’s summertime, and the grilling is easy. Or, at least, the grilling is easier and enticing with creative fare for barbecues and picnics.

    For the perennially popular grilled burger, the folks at Finlandia Cheese have teamed up this season with an executive chef who appeared on Bravo’s Top Chef TV series to provide barbecue enthusiasts with fresh ideas for high-quality burger toppings.

    In a new summer grilling promotion, chef Ariane Duart of CulinAriane restaurant suggests topping burgers with aged Finlandia cheeses like Swiss, Havarti or Gouda that melt slowly but keep their texture. Notes Duart: “If you choose great ingredients, you won’t even need the condiments.”

    Duart, who also suggests adding unique lettuce varieties to burgers and experimenting with different condiment flavors, has developed an array of recipes for grilled summer fare including a Jumpin’ Turkey Swiss Burger and a Provolone Burger with Russian Dressing.
