    Fitzgerald Joins Roundy's to Run Merchandising, Procurement

    MILWAUKEE -- Don Fitzgerald, a grocer with plenty of Chicago experience at Meijer and Dominick's, has joined Roundy's Supermarkets, Inc. here as its new group v.p./merchandising and procurement, effective March 10.

    MILWAUKEE -- Don Fitzgerald, a grocer with plenty of Chicago experience at Meijer and Dominick's, has joined Roundy's Supermarkets, Inc. here as its new group v.p./merchandising and procurement, effective March 10.

    Fitzgerald has extensive experience in retail operations, marketing, merchandising, pricing, private label development, category management best practices and operating profit and loss management. He most recently served as v.p./sales and merchandising for Meijer’s Chicago division. Prior to that, he spent two years as a partner at consultancy The Partnering Group (TPG). He spent the bulk of his 28-year retail career at Dominick’s in Chicago.

    With nearly $4 billion in sales, Roundy’s Supermarkets, Inc. operates 153 retail grocery stores under the Pick ‘n Save, Copps, Rainbow, and Metro Market banners.
