Food Basics Coming to Connecticut
Bridgeport, Conn., will serve as home to the Great Atlantic & Pacific Co.’s (A&P) first Food Basics store in the Nutmeg State, which is slated to make its debut Nov. 13 at the site of a former A&P Store at 1700 Park Ave. The discount grocery format opens with a ribbon-cutting ceremony, followed by three days of in-store demos and sampling events, special sales and more.
Officials of Montvale, N.J.-based A&P said Connecticut’s first discount Food Basics store would help local shoppers “maximize their shopping budget by getting high-quality products, including a variety of fresh foods, at low, affordable prices.”
The new location will feature a bright, open layout with modern décor, including colorful artwork and signage to further enhance the overall experience for shoppers.
