Fresh Produce & Floral Council Expo Readies for 25th Celebration

The countdown is on for the Fresh Produce & Floral Council’s (FPFC) 25th Annual Southern California Expo, slated to take place July 15, 2008, at the Disneyland Hotel in Anaheim. The Expo is geared to provide hands-on education, introduce new ideas and create dynamic interaction with an emphasis in retail, foodservice, produce and floral.

Building on the success of past shows, FPFC anticipates strong attendance from Southern California retail chains and foodservice operators and distributors. In addition, selected representatives from national retail companies are expected to attend this year’s event, which is being chaired by Debi Orrin-Duffin of Litehouse Foods, Inc.  Attendees will gather for a day of educational programming and an exposition featuring over 170 companies.

New for the Expo this year is the PMA Education Foundation Mentor Program, which will bring top students and faculty from local universities to the Expo to allow them to gain practical knowledge from volunteer industry leader mentors. Newsman Steve Hartman of CBS will keynote the event’s awards luncheon.

The La Mirada, Calif.-based FPFC is dedicated to the promotion of the sale and consumption of fresh produce and floral products. Produce and floral industry representatives interested in exhibiting at or attending the event may register in advance by contacting (714) 739-0177.
