    FreshDirect to Expand Use of DemadTec Price Optimization Software

    Following a successful initial deployment of DemandTec’s Everyday Price Optimization software service, FreshDirect plans to expand use of the software service for pricing assessments and tactics.

    Following a successful initial deployment of DemandTec’s Everyday Price Optimization software service, FreshDirect plans to expand use of the software service for pricing assessments and tactics. The Long Island City, N.Y.-based online grocer will use the solution to help automate the process of pricing its products, which are delivered to various parts of the New York metropolitan area.

    “After a successful first project, DemandTec has proven to be a trusted partner with a valuable solution that will change the way we price our goods,” said FreshDirect CFO Jason Ackerman.

    DemandTec customers include over 230 leading retailers and consumer products manufacturers, including Ahold USA, Best Buy, ConAgra Foods, Delhaize America, General Mills, HEB Grocery Co., Hormel Foods, Safeway, Sara Lee, Target and Walmart.
