New York-based online grocer FreshDirect plans to deploy a price and promotion optimization solution to provide shopper-centric analytic insights that support its everyday pricing strategies and decisions.
FreshDirect will utilize San Carlos, Calif.-based DemandTec’s nextGEN solutions to define merchandising and marketing strategies that protect and enhance its customer price perception and at the same time deliver positive business results.

DemandTec’s nextGEN solutions were designed to help retailers and consumer products manufacturers understand and forecast how shoppers may respond to planned merchandising and marketing strategies by analyzing historical transaction log data.
Long Island City, N.Y.-based FreshDirect serves more than 250,000 customers and employs more than 1,500 associates.
