The Great Atlantic & Pacific Tea Co. Inc. (A&P) said yesterday that its CFO, Brenda Galgano, has assumed the additional role of treasurer, following the departure of William Moss at the close of the fiscal year. Further, Krystyna Lack will take on the position of VP, treasury services, reporting directly to Galgano.
In her new role, Lack, an employee of the grocer for the past 12 years, will oversee investor relations and risk management as well as supporting treasury functions. As a member of A&P’s treasury office, she played a major role in the company’s investor relations and financing transactions, and has worked closely with the senior finance team on many key initiatives, including the most recent capital raise investment. During her 12-year tenure with the company, Lack’s most recent position was that of assistant treasurer.
Montvale, N.J.-based A&P operates 433 stores in eight states and the District of Columbia under the following banners: A&P, Waldbaum’s, Pathmark, Best Cellars, The Food Emporium, Super Foodmart, SuperFresh and Food Basics.
