Georgia Pecan Comm. Renews PR Plan

The Georgia Pecan Commission approved its long-time agency of record, Tampa, Fla.-based At the Table Public Relations, for another year of promotion and education outreach.

Highlights of the plan include a New York City media tour with news and magazine editors, printed materials that feature Georgia Pecans’ AntioxiNUT status and its recent American Heart Association Heart Check-mark certification, as well as regular updates on the commission’s consumer website with recipes and health information.

“This campaign is educating consumers and reminding them that Georgia Pecans are a healthy snack and recipe ingredient that can be used all year long,” said Duke Lane, Jr., chairman of the Perry, Ga.-based Georgia Pecan Commission.

The program builds upon last season’s launch of the Commission’s AntioxiNUT campaign, which highlights research that Georgia Pecans have the highest amount of antioxidants of any tree nut.

Founded in 1995, the Commission funds research, educational and promotional programs to increase awareness and raise demand for Georgia Pecans.
