Giant-Carlisle Creates Director of Compact Formats Position
Giant Food Stores, LLC has promoted Ron Bagley to director of compact formats, a newly created position. Bagley, whose most recent position was director of operations merchandising, will lead compact format development. He will report to Steve Lamontagne, VP of format development.
A Giant Food Stores employee since 1983, Bagley has held several positions within the company, including customer service manager, grocery manager, perishable operations manager, store manager and grocery/general merchandise specialist.
The Ahold USA division’s Giant To Go c-store compact format, incorporating fresh food, convenience and value, debuted in April of this year, with future Pennsylvania locations planned.
Carlisle, Pa.-based Giant Food Stores operates stores in Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia, and West Virginia under the Giant Food Stores, Martin’s Food Markets and Giant To Go banners.
