Giant-Carlisle Names Div. Director of Ops/Merch
CARLISLE, Pa. -- Giant Food Stores, LLC said yesterday that it had promoted Bob O'Neill to the position of director of operations and merchandising (DOM) for District 12, in charge of overall operations and merchandising at 16 stores in eastern Pennsylvania.
O'Neill succeeds Mike Nicolaides, who will be reassigned to another position within the company, Giant Food spokeswoman Tracy Pawelski told Progressive Grocer.
O'Neill joined Giant in 1987 as a produce associate and held such store operations positions as produce manager, grocery manager, nonperishable manager, assistant store manager, and store manager. He most recently served as grocery specialist.
Ahold-owned Giant Food operates stores in Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia, and West Virginia under the names of Giant Food Stores, Martin's Food Markets, and FoodSource.
