Giant-Carlisle Ups LaCagnina to Director of Real Estate
Giant Food Stores, LLC has promoted Joe LaCagnina to the postion of director of real estate. In his new role LaCagnina, whose most recent position was as a real estate executive, will identify and secure opportunities for new store locations, fuel facilities, store expansions and relocations for Carlisle, Pa.-based Giant. He reports to Bill Shrader, VP of real estate.
LaCagnina began his career with Giant as part of the Ahold Master’s Management Development Program in 2002, which enabled him to work in various areas of the chain and gain a total view of the business. He joined the real estate department in 2004 as a location research analyst.
Giant Food Stores currently operates stores in Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia, and West Virginia under the names of Giant Food Stores, Martin’s Food Markets and Giant To Go.
