Giant Eagle Bows New GetGo

GetGo from Giant Eagle cut the ribbon on its newest location at 1737 State Route 228 in Cranberry Township, just north of Pittsburgh. The new 5,500 square foot GetGo brings area customers a variety of fresh foods including sandwiches, Angus burgers, breakfast sandwiches, sushi prepared on-site, salads, wraps and more, all of which can be enjoyed in the store’s sit down café that seats 25.

The 24-hour location will feature 16 fuel pumps, four of which are diesel, and all eligible for redeeming fuelperks! and earning foodperks! Other on-site conveniences include a WetGo car wash, two surcharge-free ATMs, free air for tires, free WiFi, lottery services, a Red Box kiosk and retailer gift cards.

Additionally, in-store beverage options include a 16-head fountain featuring both Pepsi and Coca Cola products complete with eight flavors of frozen carbonated beverages, fruit and java smoothies, milkshakes, and more than 30 GetGo brand coffee, tea and cappuccino choices.

“Our new Cranberry location brings customers the latest features of our GetGo format, including delicious old-fashioned subs and breakfast sandwiches, and convenience offerings such as a WetGo car wash and free air for tires, all at the convenient confluence of Route 228, I-79 and I-76” said GetGo SVP Kevin Srigley. “The store is the first of several upcoming new GetGo locations, including one on McKnight Road in Pittsburgh’s North Hills in 2013.”

Grand opening festivities will be highlighted by appearances by Pittsburgh hockey star Pascal Dupuis and Pittsburgh Steelers running back Isaac Redman.

Giant Eagle’s GetGo fuel and convenience store brand is enabling the regional retailer to bring the same level of fresh, quality food and unmatched customer service associated with Giant Eagle supermarkets to the convenient GetGo setting. GetGo locations include kiosks that are built adjacent to existing Giant Eagle supermarkets and larger standalone units that may include a WetGo car wash.

Giant Eagle Inc., with approximately $9.9 billion in annual sales, operates 230 supermarkets and 179 fuel and convenience stores throughout western Pennsylvania, north central Ohio, northern West Virginia and Maryland.
