Additionally, Landover, Md.-based Giant Food has teamed with several vendors to provide a free coupon book promoting healthy living, worth more than $40, to all customers who receive flu shots, while supplies last. Giant Food pharmacists are also available to hold on-site flu clinics throughout the community.
“As stewards for the nation’s capital grocer, Giant Food associates have maintained their long-standing commitment to supporting the health and wellness of the surrounding communities,” said Gayle Shields, director of pharmacy operations at the Mid-Atlantic regional grocer, a division of Ahold USA. “The seasonal flu shots offered at scores of neighborhood stores in Maryland, Virginia, Delaware, and Washington, D.C., exemplifies this promise.”
