In celebration of its 100th anniversary, the Grocery Manufacturers Association yesterday issued "GMA: Celebrating a Century of Leadership," a video presentation recounting the trade group's history, leadership, mission, and future agenda, along with a companion print booklet.
"Since its founding in 1908, GMA has served as the voice of the food, beverage, and consumer products industry in Washington, D.C.," observed GMA president and c.e.o. Cal Dooley. "And in 2008, GMA continues this tradition, providing leadership on the wide variety of challenges and opportunities facing our member companies. From supply chain efficiency and enhanced customer and channel collaboration, to food safety and energy policy, GMA is serving as a laboratory for new ideas, helping our member companies serve their customers better and faster than ever before."
