    GMDC launches GM12 Mobile App for its June Event

    The app provides useful conference information for show attendees

    The Global Market Development Corp. has launched a mobile app for its GMDC 2012 General Merchandise Conference (GM12) for use with any Web-enabled phone.

    The free application provides tools and direct access to resources for the conference, to be held June 1 through June 5 in Orlando, as well as post conference and throughout 2012. It provides full access to both supplier and retailer/wholesalers attendees, and delivers an enhanced conference experience including alerts and announcements, hotel information, schedules, schedule changes, attendee rosters, maps, local area resources and social networking links.

    "Mobile apps are the single best way to communicate to our members with schedules, news, reminders, and the ability to access other attendee’s information,” said Dave McConnell, president and CEO of GMDC “We are excited to launch the GM12 app to enrich and maximize everyone’s event. Our Conference Mobile apps serve as a beneficial tool for follow-up and a member directory 365 days of the year.”

    The app is available for download on the GMDC website.
