    Gourmet Trading Co. Unveils ‘Wizard of Oz’ Promo

    Company teams with Warner Bros. for 75th anniversary of iconic film

    In anticipation of the 75th anniversary of “The Wizard of Oz,” Gourmet Trading Company will feature the iconic film on its tags of Peruvian and Mexican Asparagus.

    From Sept. 23 through Feb. 28, Gourmet Trading Company asparagus will promote the Oct. 1 release of "The Wizard of Oz" 75th Anniversary Edition on 3D Blu-ray, Blu-ray, DVD and UltraViolet, all of which include a new documentary, “The Making of The Wonderful The Wizard of Oz,” bonus features and premium collectibles. Gourmet Trading will also give away copies of the film on DVD via Facebook with a grand prize of a flat screen TV, Blu-ray player and a copy of "The Wizard of Oz" 75th Anniversary Edition on Blu-ray.

    Beginning Sept. 20, “The Wizard of Oz” 3D will be presented in IMAX 3D format and return to the big screen for an exclusive one-week engagement in IMAX theatres across North America.

    “We're excited to partner with Warner Bros. Home Entertainment on their anniversary release of The Wizard of Oz,” said Julia Inestroza, marketing director for Gourmet Trading. “The popularity of this movie over the past 75 years and the overall The Wizard of Oz brand recognition made it the perfect cross promotional opportunity for us. We look forward to engaging with our customers via social media to really promote not only the movie but our asparagus.”
