Two years of development and testing have finally paid off with the introduction of all-new better-for-you Chef Hymie Grande’ Barbecue Glazes. Created by Jamie Faitelson (a.k.a. Chef Hymie Grande’), the agave-syrup-sweetened glazes, available in mild New Mexico, medium Polapote and hot Cascabel Express varieties, is free of high-fructose corn syrup or processed sugars, vegan-friendly and all natural. The artisanal product line, which is cooked in small batches at the Rutgers University Food Innovation Center in Bridgeton, N.J., is also the first barbecue sauce to bear the American Diabetes Association mark on its label, with a portion of the proceeds from every bottle sold going to that organization.
