Hannaford Bros. Co., contracted with an IT services and solutions company to assist in software maintenance, integration, and enhancements for a human resource management system it plans to install.
The retailer will work with UST Global on its Lawson HRIS system. UST will provide Lawson consulting services, custom program development, and support.
"We needed savvy, technically astute Lawson staff to handle our Lawson support and development," said Peter Bernier, manager of HR and financial systems at Hannaford. "There is a similarity of values between Hannaford and UST. At the end of the day success is all about the people you choose to work and partner with."
Under the agreement, UST will focus on the support and development of applications for Lawson's Human Capital Management suite version 8.03, which includes employee and manager self-service, benefits administration, payroll, time accrual, and personnel administration for the retailer's 27,000 employees. In addition to technical support, UST is consulting with Hannaford to provide guidance on current and future software enhancements and development as well as related strategic recommendations.
UST provides Lawson services as part of the company's ERP offering.
Hannaford is a subsidiary of Delhaize America, the U.S. division of Brussels-based Delhaize Group, and operates more than 164 stores in the northeastern United States.
