HEB to Offer Engine-cleaning Fuel Additives
SAN ANTONIO -- Following a successful pilot test, H.E. Butt Grocery Co. here has signed a deal with Houston-based Additech to place Additech's patented fuel additive distribution system in the grocer's fuel centers across Texas.
The "tune-up at the pump" service gives consumers the option to purchase fuel system cleaners that are blended into their gasoline and that clean their engine's vital parts as they drive.
Additech and HEB began working together last year in a five-site pilot program. The installations will take place over the next year, with 30 installations planned by year-end. The contract is for five years.
