As a way of helping its associates make ends meet, HEB has introduced the Valued Partner Perks Discount Card program, which entitles all HEB partners, as its employees are known, to receive 10 percent off thousands of HEB private label items at any HEB, Central Market, H-E-B Plus! or Mi Tienda store.
The program kicked off Dec. 11 with partner celebrations staged at every work location.
"Everyone right now is looking for creative ways to stretch their household budgets," noted HEB v.p. of human resources Tina James. "This program is our way of helping our partners make every dollar count by rewarding them for the outstanding work they do, day in and day out, in serving our customers. Our partners are an integral part of our success as a company, and this program was created to show we care about their well-being and value their dedication."
The Valued Partner Perks Discount Card program is now a permanent part of the company benefits HEB provides to its employees. All full-time, part-time, and retired workers, along with one family member living at the same home address, are eligible to take part in the program.
The company's store brands are HEB, Hill Country Fare, Hill Country Essentials, H-E-Buddy, and Central Market. As well as offering savings those brands, the program extends to the following brands available only at the grocer: GTC, an extensive line of general merchandise products; Dining Style tableware; ChefStyle kitchenware; TexasStyle grilling products; EXLR8 toys; Funderful toys; Risk personal care for men; Economax paper goods; and Holiday Market seasonal decor.
San Antonio-based HEB operates more than 300 stores in Texas and Mexico and employs over 70,000 Partners.
