HEB's Central Market Hawking 21 Kinds of Burgers for July 4th

Central Market, the 8-unit specialty grocer under the corporate umbrella of HEB, said yesterday it would fill up is meat cases with 21 fresh burger varieties for some big Texas-style grilling action over the Fourth of July holiday.

The company marketed to program to shoppers via is Foodie e-newsletter, under the headline, "Red, White and Burger."

Central Market said among the choices are burgers "made with Kobe beef, others with lamb or bison, all with the finest, freshest never frozen ingredients. And for a limited time, we'll have all 21 of them in our meat market."

The grocer offered serving suggestions. "What better reason to fire up the grill and serve a burger buffet (cut patties in half for sliders). Experiment with your toppings. Razor-thin slices of zucchini. Dollops of homemade garlic aioli made with fresh lemon juice (perfect for 100% Berkshire pork burgers). Or, go forth, Mate, and do up a burger Aussie style: top with a fried egg and pickled beets."

Central Market said its handmade patties are fresh, never frozen; and "made each day to ensure freshness."
