Hobart Retail Marketing Exec Earns Environmental Accreditation

TROY, Ohio -- Jenni Bair, food retail marketing manager for food equipment supplier Hobart here, earned LEED Accredited Professional status from the United States Green Building Council.

LEED - Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design, is a nationally accepted benchmark for the design, construction, and operation of high performance buildings. The program was developed to give building owners and operators clear metrics for the performance of their facilities.

"Our customers are being asked to run more efficiently and more economically," said Sarah Puls, v.p. of brand marketing for Hobart. "In a business where margins are squeezed from many different directions, our support in these efforts can help them translate those efficiencies to the bottom line."

To earn accreditation, applicants must pass a rigorous test in the strategies and objectives of sustainable design. As a LEED Accredited Professional, Bair will be able to work with store planning and management professionals to ensure that new or remodeled locations operate more efficiently.

Hobart manufactures products for warewashing and waste handling; food preparation; baking; cooking; weighing, wrapping and labeling systems; and Traulsen refrigeration.
