Homeland Stores Enables Pay-by-phone

Homeland Stores has launched its new iPhone and Android mobile applications which allow customers to save time and money by using their smartphones to pay for their groceries.

"Homeland Stores is committed to being at the forefront of fulfilling our customers' needs. The mobile app will save our customers time and money each time they use it,” said Darryl Fitzgerald, president and CEO, Homeland Stores.

Customers can download the Homeland SwiftScan app for free, sign up for mobile payments and start using their smartphones to grocery shop. Customers can use the app to locate stores, see weekly specials, create shopping lists, receive exclusive discounts and pay at the checkout directly from their smartphone via a link to their checking account. For now, the app will work at all Edmond and Norman, Okla., locations with additional stores coming on board soon.

As an added introductory reward, customers who pay with their phones will also earn 20 cents per gallon off the price of gas at any participating Homeland or Shell Gas Station. Homeland customers will qualify for the discount each time they use their phone to pay for at least $25 worth of groceries in participating stores and provide their One Card at the time of purchase.
