IGA Northwest Supermarkets, a collection of more than 70 stores located across seven Western states that are supplied and supported by Supervalu, plans to deploy a Web-based price and promotion optimization solution that will allow its advertising group to act as a single, more powerful promotional entity
The retailer group has selected the Promotion Planning and Optimization tool from Sacramento, Calif.-based Revionics.
IGA Northwest Supermarkets will leverage the promotional service to aggregate and analyze promotional activity for all members.
"The board saw an opportunity to improve our ad planning process, and become more competitive as a group," said Frank Cannon, board member and g.m. of Van's Markets in Helena, Mt., a group member. "This collaboration will deliver analytics and science to our current promotional planning process and ensure we promote the right products at the right price."
