ACNielsen Signs Stater Bros. Markets To Information-Sharing Agreement

SCHAUMBURG, IL -- ACNielsen U.S., an operating unit of ACNielsen, a VNU business, today announced that it has signed Stater Bros. Markets to an information-sharing agreement. Sales data from the 156-store southern California supermarket chain will enhance the coverage of ACNielsen's Scantrack retail measurement service, and retailer-specific insights from Stater Bros. will be available to manufacturer partners of the chain via ACNielsen's Account Level Services. The agreement makes ACNielsen Stater Bros.' preferred provider of syndicated sales information and merchandising software.

Markets, said, "ACNielsen's data quality, merchandising software, and retail service teams will provide insight and vision consistent with our company's marketing plan. This partnership will enable us to work more effectively with our vendors and better-manage our on-shelf merchandising decisions."

Stater Bros. will access ACNielsen sales information over the Internet using ACNielsen NetDispatch software, which enables users to easily pull a host of decision-ready reports by product, market and time period. The retailer will utilize ACNielsen Spaceman and Priceman software for guidance on assortment, shelf set, and strategic pricing decisions.

Also under the agreement, ACNielsen will create custom sales reports based on Stater Bros. unique trade area, which will be available to manufacturers who do business with the retailer.
