Ahold and Marketing Management Inc. in Dispute
FORT WORTH, Texas - Marketing Management Inc., an agent for suppliers nationwide for store brand products, said Thursday that it had received a complaint filed in federal court in Virginia from Ahold USA Holdings Inc.
The lawsuit alleges that even though Ahold terminated its contract with MMI in March 2001, MMI owed it money for advertising provided by Ahold.
MMI said in a statement that it intends to vigorously defend the claims brought in the lawsuit. MMI contends that it fully complied with its contract with Ahold and, among other things, is affirmatively requesting the District Judge to declare that it fully and completely performed its contract with Ahold.
Ahold could not immediately be reached for comment.
