Associated Wholesale Grocers Installs New EDI Solutions

KANSAS CITY, Kan. -- Associated Wholesale Grocers, here has selected Edict Systems, Inc. as its electronic data interchange (EDI) supplier.

Mike Hopkins, AWG's manager of EDI, said the partnership with Edict, "has enabled us to expand our trading partner community by providing cost-effective solutions to our suppliers. Included in the solutions being offered to AWG are value added network (VAN) services provided through EnterpriseEC, a hosted solution which efficiently facilitates data transfers between EDI trading partners. Additionally, Edict Systems will assist AWG in expanding the number of suppliers and vendors they communicate with electronically. The process improves ROI by reducing paper transactions and the number of errors associated with manual document processing. Edict Systems also validates that all trading partner data meets the data specifications required by AWG through GroceryEC, the company's flagship solution for small and medium-size suppliers in the grocery industry.
