B&R Foods Hosts Community Playhouse Benefit Event

With a goal of raising $40,000 for the Lincoln Community Playhouse, Lincoln, Neb.-based, employee-owned B&R Stores will host the Lincoln Wine & Food Experience, which gives participants an opportunity to sample exquisite food and wines from around the world.

General admission tickets are on sale at all B&R banner stores — including Russ’s Market, Super Saver, ALPS and Grand Central Apple Market — for $25 each. Attendees will be able to sample food and wine at more than 75 vendor booths as well as participate in a silent auction. A popular feature of last year’s event, the reserve room, returns for 2010. Tickets to the reserve room are limited in quantity and cost $50 each. Reserve room guests will enjoy a special selection of professionally catered food from Russ’s Market, reserve wines and access to the entire general admission area.

“The Lincoln Community Playhouse is a pillar of the arts in our community,” said Pat Raybould, B&R Stores’ president. “Through this year’s Lincoln Wine & Food Experience, we are going to not only have a lot of fun, but also raise a lot of money so that youth and adults continue to have a creative outlet through the Lincoln Community Playhouse, now and well into the future.”
