Consumers Can Join Hunt for Limited-edition Hostess Products

In step with spring, Hostess Brands Inc. has launched Hostess Hunt for $25,000 instant-win game, along with limited-edition Lemon Creme Twinkies and Springtime SnoBalls.

Through April 28, consumers can visit Hostess’ website to take part in an online scavenger hunt for the brand’s products, which are concealed among flowers, trees and other Spring greenery. To register, visitors enter game codes from select multipacks of Hostess snack cakes, including Lemon Creme Twinkies and seasonal Springtime SnoBalls, for the opportunity to win a grand prize of $25,000 or a daily prize of a year’s supply of Hostess products. Scavenger hunters can additionally download activity sheets with games and puzzles for fans and families, including “Tic-Snack-Toe” and matching games.

One of the seasonal limited-edition product introductions is the result of the 2011 Twinkie Mania promotion, in which Hostess fans were able to vote for the next great Twinkie flavor. Lemon Creme Twinkies beat out such other flavor contenders as Raspberry Tart, Cookies ‘n Creme and Blueberry Pie. SnoBalls -- creme-filled chocolate cakes encased in marshmallow and coconut -- have also received a springtime makeover in the form of lavender-colored coconut and seasonal packaging. Hostess Chocolate CupCakes and classic Twinkies also feature festive spring packaging designs.
