C&S Wholesale to Produce Online Selling Event

CHICAGO -- In an effort to provide its retail customers with an online experience that parallels traditional trade shows/food shows, Keene, N.H.-based C&S Wholesale Grocers is producing the CSXpo, its first online selling event.

The event, produced and managed by InXpo, will give C&S retail store customers the ability to place orders online during the show, interact with C&S and manufacturer sales reps, and win prizes -- all from their homes or offices.

"We are very pleased to incorporate InXpo as a value-added component of our merchandising plan," said C&S s.v.p. of merchandising Bob Palmer. "InXpo will support our focus of driving continued, enhanced service to our independent retail customers."

According to InXpo, hosting an online show will enable C&S to reach even more of its customers in a convenient and cost-effective way, by eliminating travel expense and travel time while offering the same type of communication and savings opportunities available at traditional grocery/food shows.

One feature of the online selling event is real-time sales reporting, which allows the distributor to see all orders placed by its customers at any time. The distributor can then use the online show's communication tools to interact with customers and act on those orders as they happen.
