In an effort to acknowledge vendors and/or manufacturers for providing outstanding quality, professionalism and exceptional customer service, D’Agostino Supermarkets, Inc. has created the D’Agostino MVP-Most Valuable Partner Award.

Nicholas D’Agostino III, president and COO of the company, named the first honoree, natural and organic food distributor Dora’s Naturals, the winner for the first quarter of 2009.

“Being able to bring our customers quality food products at realistic prices, along with innovations such as new products, new programs and promotions is paramount at D’Agostino and has been throughout our company’s 76-plus year history,” said D’Agostino. “By honoring our suppliers who do just that, we let them know that they’re helping us serve New York in the best possible manner and that we value what they’re doing.”

Nominated and then voted on by key D’Agostino directors, The MVP of each quarter must exhibit the following criteria for at least 12 months:

--Strong business ethics.
