Dawn Foods, Countryside Baking Combine Businesses
JACKSON, Mich. -- Dawn Food Products Inc. here, one of the world's largest independently owned bakery manufacturers and distributors, has joined forces with Countryside Baking, Inc., a leading California-based cookie and sweet goods manufacturer.
Countryside Baking will continue its operations in Irvine, Calif., which will remain autonomous under the direction of current c.o.o., Kent Hayden, and the existing management team. Vache Torossian, former president of Countryside will leave the company, which employs approximately 150. The collaboration will not affect Countryside's workforce or any of Dawn's other West Coast operations, including its nearby Tustin facility.
