Food Institute Hires GMDC Veteran as Sales V.P.

ELMWOOD PARK, N.J. -- The Food Institute (FI) here has added ex-GMDC exec Roy White to its staff in the position of v.p., sales, and put him in charge of expanding its membership and programming usage.

White spent nine years at GMDC, an HBC/GM trade association, as v.p. education, in which capacity he managed GMDC's Educational Foundation. He was also a partner in a video production company specializing in programming for mass market retailers, wholesalers, and CPG manufacturers. Before that, he served as editor-in-chief of a trade publication for the mass market retail industry.

"Roy White brings a wealth of experience in mass market retailing and CPG manufacturing to the Food Institute," said FI president and c.e.o. Brian Todd in a statement. "We are looking forward to...working with him to expand the reach of FI from our current base."

Added Todd, "We are currently expanding into a bevy of new areas, including Webinars, seminars, and technology-based products that the industry will find pertinent, accurate, and timely, and Roy will assist us greatly in that effort."

The nonprofit Food Institute reaches over 100,000 industry participants through its daily update e-mail bulletins and weekly Food Institute Report.
