FoodMaxx Launches Web-based Trade Promotion Management System

TURLOCK, Calif. -- Regional warehouse supermarket chain FoodMaxx yesterday launched a Web-based platform for online trade promotion allowance management that it said should allow it to collaborate more effectively with its suppliers.

The retailer is working with Pleasanton, Calif.-based TradePoint Solutions' Web-based network to more efficiently handle the process, including presentations, negotiations, and reconciling trade promotions. The system automates promotion workflow, and replaces a paper-based process with a real-time business application.

FoodMaxx said it already has its top suppliers submitting promotions electronically, and plans to bring on all promoting vendors by the end of the first half.

"FoodMaxx is using TradePoint's system to dramatically reduce administrative overhead, eliminate data entry errors and increase visibility for all promotional offers," said Art Patch, v.p. at FoodMaxx. "Using TradePoint's hosted platform made the program easy, fast and cost-effective to implement -- with a rapid ROI for us and our vendors."

FoodMaxx is an independently owned and operated warehouse supermarket chain, with 44 stores in the state of California.
