Gelson's Executives Named to CGA Hall of Achievement

SACRAMENTO, CA -- Four past and present executives form independent Gelson's Markets, Encino, Calif. will be inducted in the California Grocers Association Educational Foundation Hall of Achievement on Thursday, March 15 during an event at the Hilton Los Angeles North/Glendale Hotel.

The Gelson's honorees are Bob Stiles, president; Bernard Briskin, chairman and c.e.o.; Allan Scharn, retired president; and Bill Roulette, retired s.v.p. of operations.

"These four executives are perfect candidates for this very prestigious food industry award," said CGA president Peter Larkin, who also serves as Foundation president. "They exemplify all the important qualities of our great industry."

Created in 1993, the Hall of Achievement honors California grocery retailers and suppliers who have contributed substantially to the benefit and advancement of the grocery industry.
