GMA's Molpus Joins Spar Group Board of Directors

TARRYTOWN, N.Y. - International marketing services company SPAR Group, Inc. here has tapped C. Manly Molpus, outgoing president, c.e.o., and a director of the Grocery Manufacturers Association (GMA), to join its board of directors. Molpus 16-year veteran of GMA, has said he will retire from the Washington, D.C.-based association at the end of this year.

SPAR said Molpus joined its board on Aug. 9. He is also a member of the company's audit, compensation, and governance committees.

"Manly Molpus is among the best known and most highly respected leaders in our industry," said Robert G. Brown, SPAR Group's chairman and c.e.o., in a statement. "I am confident he will be a tremendous asset to SPAR Group as we grow our business both in the United States and overseas."

Prior to joining GMA, Molpus was v.p. of corporate affairs for The Kroger Co., and served as president and c.e.o. of the American Meat Institute. He is also currently on the board of directors of the Congressional Hunger Center and is a member of the U.S. Department of State Advisory Committee on International Economic Policy. Molpus formerly served on the USDA/USTR Agriculture Policy Advisory Committee for Trade and was a trustee of the U.S. Capitol Historical Society.
