Haggen to Deploy Centralized Pricing and Data Management System

Haggen, Inc., a 33-store regional independent based in Bellingham, Wash., plans to replace its legacy pricing system with a centralized, rules-based pricing and inventory management solution.

The retailer will use the HQ solution that Dallas-based Retalix developed to help grocers control authorized items, costs, and prices, and standardize its pricing best-practice disciplines for consistent execution.

"Retalix HQ will enable us to more efficiently manage our item and vendor information while aiding in the successful implementation of our pricing automation and optimization initiatives," said Harrison Lewis, v.p. and c.i.o. of Haggen.

The system's features also include multiple module configurations and an enterprise-wide merchandising and execution system.

Haggen operates 33 supermarkets and one stand-alone pharmacy in Washington and Oregon under the Haggen Food & Pharmacy, TOP Food & Drug, and Larry's Market banners.
