Industry Health & Wellness Summit Slated for October
NEW YORK - Retailers from grocery, drug, and mass now have a forum to discuss the booming health, wellness, and self-care movement with key suppliers. Sponsored by Retail Merchandiser magazine, in cooperation with Progressive Grocer and Convenience Store News, the Health & Wellness Summit '04 is being held Oct. 25 and 26 at the Sonesta Coconut Grove Resort in Miami.
This supplier/retailer meeting starts with a cocktail reception on Sunday, Oct. 24 and is followed by an intense day-and-a-half of pre-scheduled, 20-minute, one-on-one appointments between retailers and health, beauty care, food and beverage suppliers on Oct. 25 and Oct. 26.
Patterned after Retail Merchandiser's successful Dollar Store Summit, an event aimed at extreme value retailers, the Health & Wellness Summit also includes networking lunches and cocktail receptions as well as educational sessions, including a look at a new ACNielsen study on product labeling and a session entitled, "Care & Culture," a look at the different health & wellness needs of multicultural consumers.
